I was thinking of what to do yesterday night, so I thought of why not baking some banana cupcakes? We still have ripe bananas and cream cheese in the fridge so I’m going to transform them into something beautiful and delectable.

Also, it’s my parent’s wedding anniversary perfect delights for two lovebirds!

I run out of piping bags so instead, I used Ziploc. The cream cheese frosting didn’t turn out pretty smooth so I just slathered the frosting and topped it with chopped walnuts. See the photo below.

But I’m really glad that my cupcake turned out moist and not dry as what I’m expecting. The cream cheese that I made, perfectly complemented the cupcake – not too sweet but you can really taste the banana and walnuts.

A.KOPKYHOB (Korkunov)

Calling all sweet tooth babies! My papa gave me this box of gems just this morning. I was surprised because I never expected this goodie because to be honest, I’m not a big fan of chocolates. XD I would prefer flowers over sweets in case someone plans to throw a surprise at me at least you have an idea LOL.

What I love about this product, is that the packaging. This one is elegantly packaged and has the aura of a royal chocolate. I think this is a limited Christmas edition because of  Santa Claus’ image with choco balls in his sleigh.

By the way, this chocolate is a product of Russia so as you can see, I cannot really tell you guys what is printed at the back of the box and also I barely understand the words.

You know there are times I wish I was multilingual hahaha I kid you not.

Look at how classy these gems are. If only I could keep this forever in my drawer.

Truly a Russian glorified chocolate. Gentle nut praline, shredded almonds, whole and shredded hazelnut meticulously added in each chocolate. The one with brown wrapper tastes like dark chocolate and the two in silver and gold is milk chocolate.

These pieces remind me of the Ferrero Rocher chocolate because it melts in my mouth so heavenly. And undeniably my tongue screams for more.

All I can say is that this is a perfect delight for Christmas and for giving this as a gift. I would seriously recommend this to you sweeties!

P.S. If you know what’s the right pronunciation and some details about this chocolate let me know by commenting below.

Have you tried this gem already? How was it? 😋

NUDE by Nature: Lip Gloss

Growing up, lip gloss was a popular trend for every girl way back. Before matte lippies took over the limelight, lip glosses and shimmers were such a craze. My cousins would visit beauty stores before with me to buy lip gloss with fruit scents and that made me want to eat it hahaha. So when I received the box, I was so giddy to give my lips a glide of shine.

I am happy to say NUDE by Nature is 100% cruelty-free and is PETA certified.

What I love about this is how chic and minimalist the packaging is. I’m obsessed with good packaging. :3 Plus the rose gold color makes the product look posh.

Now, let me introduce you…

A mix of apricot and blush pink shade. I first apply lipstick or lip tint one shade darker because if I only apply this alone, the result makes my lips look pale. I instead use this to coat my lips after swiping the lipstick on.

To be honest, I don’t like using this shade because it doesn’t suit my complexion plus, it’s not shimmery and it’s dull in color. Maybe I’ll use this during night outs or just a casual day when I don’t feel the need to look kikay.

For the last shade of gloss, I always wear this when going out in the daytime — not to mention this is my favorite among the three. XD It creates a glowing aura on your face that you don’t need to put any lipstick on to emphasize the shine and color of this gloss.

The box of glosses comes with this chic compact mirror that I am now using wherever I go because it’s so pocket-friendly.

I don’t think I’ll purchase this again because I don’t really use lipgloss now. I’m more into tints because it’s long lasting and doesn’t smear.

Have you tried this product already? If you do, comment down below and share your thoughts!

Thanks for reading sweeties!

I will forever be a big fan of fragrant mists! I never imagined myself not spritzing any perfume before heading out to the place I am going. I always make sure that I would smell good wherever I go. I am a big believer that having a good smell equates to cleanliness. Well, maybe it does not apply to everybody but what is cleanliness if you smell awful ugh it sucks you know. Also, I learned the art of layering scents from the moment I enter the shower room I make sure that the bath gels and soaps I’m using would give me good smell that would last the entire day. Don’t worry ’cause I will teach you how I do the layering every day soon.
I wanna share my top five favorite scents that I’ve already tried and I hope you can try them too!

  • Fragrance Type: Fresh and Cool
  • Style: Sparkling and green
  • Notes: Rain-kissed freesia and daisy

The first time I tried this was, I did not like the smell. I didn’t like the very light scent it gives because I thought before that it would not last the entire day. But I was so wrong because as the time passes, it creates a very unique scent that makes you feel like you are near the beach and enjoying the fresh sea breeze.

This scent is a limited edition of Victoria’s Secret. It is launched only this 2016 and I was very ecstatic because I had the chance to grab this scent. This smells like strawberry mixed with blueberry and grapes. It is so sweet and makes me want to taste it!

  • Fragrance type: Fresh

Even before my elementary days, this smell is very catchy to me because it is very dreamy and makes me imagine that I’m in a Barbie world. It is very memorable to me also because someone gave me this kind of perfume before.

1.8 For you, [MY] FRIEND

First off, let me start this by saying THANK YOU.

THANK YOU because I learned plenty of things today because of you.

I am now more appreciating the small little things that I do not seem to notice before.

THANK YOU. If not because of your selfish acts, I wouldn’t strive hard to be more conscientious in my studies. You let me discover my own weaknesses and because of that, I knew myself better than I did before.

THANK YOU that even sometimes you left me alone. I unlocked brand new levels of challenges that helped me to be that strong independent lady.

And I found out eating my favorite food though alone, is one of the best feelings and gives me a break from all the stress life offers. — Me Time it is. *wink*

THANK YOU for the times that you’re pushing me to my limits. It reminds me that I’m also a human — who has boundaries and emotions too.

THANK YOU though you’re the soul sibling of Grinch, I was able to control myself not to be consumed by your insecurities and hate.

Lastly, I’m going to end this by saying THANK YOU again. Not because of you, I won’t be motivated to articulate my thoughts and write this words that I truly wanna say for so long.

Much Love,

Merzl 💖

🎶 Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give it to someone special 🎤🎶

Ooops excuse my voice! >.< But I made something for youuu because you’re someone special and I know you deserve the best. I made some adorable sweet delights to make your holiday extra sweet and magical!

I’m so excited for Yuletide Season because that’s my favorite part of the year! It brings back memories and plenty of childhood moments like dreaming of having a white Christmas someday because we live in a tropical country where snow is not possible :((

Sooo anyway, here’s how I made my sumptuous treat for you! My favorite red velvet with a twist!

  • 2 large eggs – room temperature and separated
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup  room temperature unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup refined sugar
  • 4 drops of liquid or gel red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk, room temperature

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. With a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat 2 egg whites on high speed in a medium bowl until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes. Then set aside.
  3. Sift the flour and cornstarch together to make sure it is evenly combined. Whisk this, along with baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  4. I used handheld mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. You can also use stand mixer. Beat the butter on high speed for 1 minute until creamy. Add the sugar and beat on high speed for 2 minutes until mixed together evenly well. Scrape down the sides and up the bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula as needed. Add the oil and beat on high for 2 minutes.
  5. Add 2 egg yolks following the vanilla. Beat on medium-high speed until mixed. Beat in the vinegar and the food color. With the mixer on low speed, add the dry ingredients in three additions. Do not overmix. Fold whipped egg whites into cupcake batter with a rubber spatula. The batter will be silky and a bit thick.
  6. Spoon batter into cupcake liners filling 1/2. Bake for 20-21 minutes or until the tops of the cupcakes spring back when gently touched and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool cupcakes and transfer into rack.

For the frosting:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese – room temperature
  • 3 drops Green Food Coloring
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter – room temperature
  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

  • Pink Sprinkles
  • BRACHS Mini Peppermint Candy Canes

  1. In a medium bowl using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle or whisk attachment beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add 3 confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and salt. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then switch to high speed and beat for 2 minutes.

Much Love,

Merzl ❤️

It was my first time to create a Halloween look like this. I had so much fun doing this look and actually, I filmed myself while creating this deery dearest but I failed to click the record button. (Fail hahaha) I realized it when I was about to set the final powder and I was quite annoyed but I just laughed about it because I imagined a lot of things when I’m filming and now pooof! All of those imaginations will just remain as imaginations lol XD

I admit that I am not really a good make-up artist myself, but I am doing my best to achieve that look haha by the way I copied it from Pinterest.

That’s it. Thank you for reading sweeties! I hope you will love this as much as I do.
