š¶ I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
She didn’t see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peep
She thought that I was tucked up
In my bedroom, fast asleep š¶
Hello, my lovely readers! I am really happy today because this will be a long week of vacation for me yaaaas! Christmas is indeed my favorite holiday because it brings unexplainable joy and brings everyone closer together and of course, it is the perfect moment for me to make holiday cookies and treats.
Itās been a long while after I made again batch of sweet treats and our whole house to smell deliciously good! Iāve been daydreaming for days to what kind of cookie Iāll make this season so I decided to experiment on sugar cookies and royal icing.
This is my first time making sugar cookies for Christmas so I’m really thrilled to try fun cut-outs. It feels like I’m playing Play-Doh again but now an edible one. Lol! Brings back my childhood memories.
Can’t wait to consume them! Seeing them bloom through the heat ā what a beautiful sight.Ā
Please bear with my piping skills lol. I told you that this is my first time making these treats but as the saying goes, imperfection is beauty! š
SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE:
3/4 cup softened unsalted butter
2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup refined sugar
1Ā largeĀ egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 teaspoonsĀ pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Tip: Put them in a fridge for 2 hours so it would be manageable to work with the dough.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS SWEETIES! HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLISSFUL NEW YEAR!
