Delighted to see this grandiose monastery right in front of my eyes. It is real! I always dreamt before of going to a place like this. And hooooraah finally! ❤️

After taking some pictures and enjoying the view from The Big Buddha, this monastery is just beside of the Buddha’s place. We then again this time, walked slowly while going down from the statue of Big Buddha.
Honestly, our feet hurts when we reached the Po Lin Monastery and we need to rest a little bit and it is past 11 am so we need food already to fuel us up for the next journey.

While walking around and exploring the place, we got curious about people waving and burning sticks and it seems like they are worshipping and wishing. So, we purchased a bundle of incense at 20 HKD and divided it among the three of us.
We just imitated what the locals and tourists did. 😀
One example where you can worship and put the incense. It is like offering it and paying respect.
Another example where you can put the incense/joss sticks. Where you will actually see big clouds of smoke from the flaming incense sticks.

So I just sneaked to take this photo because photos are not allowed here. I love this place it is tranquil and you can genuinely feel that you are worshipping.

Plenty of souvenir shops are just around the vicinity. They sell different kinds of lucky charms and also foods. We did not buy any souvenir here because it is pricey compared to the ones sold in Kowloon.

Alright then, I’m still hoping that one of my wishes will come true. There’s no harm in trying right? What matters is that the experience we gained throughout this trip.
Do you wanna experience burning an incense too? 🙂
